Finding Andalusian horses for sale in the UK and in Spain can be difficult.  It is important in any search to know exactly what it is you are looking for, what type of job you are wanting the horse to do and whether you are looking for a youngster or an Andalusian from Spain perhaps which is already established in its training. In Spain Andalusian horses are known as the Pure Spanish Horse or PRE (Pura Raza Española) and PRE horses are registered in the Spanish Stud Book maintained by the Military and Government of Spain.  The breed were originally used for classical dressage, driving, bull fighting and as stock horses but are often used now for a variety of equestrian pursuits especially dressage as a result of their extravagant, elegant paces, they are also commonly used in movies, particularly historical or fantasy epics as they have such striking looks.  Andalusian horses are usually between 15.2h-16.2h and are well known to be intelligent, docile and calm.
