Horse Details

Rhys is a handsome liver chestnut 14.2hh Welsh Section D gelding, 8 years old. He is barefoot and up to date with vaccinations, teeth, farrier and vet checks.

We have owned Rhys for the past 5 years, and he has been a much-loved pony during that time. He is good to clip, load and travel, and is easy to handle on the ground.

Rhys is a very reliable hacking pony. He will happily hack alone or in company and is comfortable going in front or behind. He has taken part in several fun rides and absolutely loves endurance riding, which is where he really shines. He has won a novice endurance ride, and this is definitely his favourite job.

He has also attended local shows and has been out hunting, where he proved to be very forward going and enjoys being at the front of the field.

Rhys is still green with jumping, but he will pop a fence and shows a willing attitude to learn. He enjoys attention and loves to be groomed, happily standing to be fussed and pampered.

At events he wears a red tail ribbon, as he prefers not to have other horses come too close behind him.
