It is with a heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our much-loved Quartz. Due to my daughter going to college, she unfortunately no longer has the time he deserves.
Quartz is a handsome 15.2hh Thoroughbred gelding, 8 years old and fully vaccinated. He has been part of our family for the past four years and has helped my daughter progress enormously during that time.
He is a lovely, affectionate horse with a cheeky character who loves attention, cuddles, and plenty of scratches. He enjoys being around people and has a real personality that keeps you smiling. While he isn’t a push-button horse, he is genuine and kind-natured and thrives with consistent handling and a confident rider.
Quartz works beautifully in the school and is a genuine, willing jumper who enjoys his work. He has competed at local competitions with my daughter and has also enjoyed cross-country outings. He loves having a job to do and is always eager to please.
He enjoys hacking and is happy when out with other horses. When ridden out alone, he can be a little more alert and on his toes. He can also be quite strong at times, so he would be best suited to a confident and capable rider. For this reason, he is not suitable for novice riders.
Based on his temperament and way of going, Quartz would be ideally suited to a rider aged 15 years and over, a young adult, or a mother-daughter share. He would suit someone looking for a fun, rewarding horse to enjoy and continue progressing with.
We are based on the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire border. This is a very difficult decision, so finding the right home is our absolute priority. We are looking for someone who will love and enjoy him as much as we have.
