Horse Details

Tyson – 9yr old gelding by the legendary Ross Fear Bui.

Tyson has been mainly show jumping, he has endless scope and super careful and willing to help you out on a missed stride. He is beautifully schooled and has done very well at dressage comps prelim and novice gaining high 60’s to mid 70’s, won a few and always placed. Would be ready to step up again, it’s not an avenue we want to progress in so plenty of untapped potential, especially with a good instructor by your side.

Tyson has completed two Cotswold Cup events, Barbury 29 Double Clear and Crown Farm 33 Double Clear, as I am not an eventer we did have time, still coming top 10 both times (would have been 2nd/3rd if not for the rider!)

Tyson enjoys his XC, jumping ditches and hedges, helped me get over my fear of the dreaded Trakehner, through water, steps etc. I did have him entered for Howick BE PAYG (2nd event) last year but they cancelled, so we took him for a schooling session and he flew round 80/90 and even 1m options. Equally I am sure he would be a blast out hunting or team chasing.

Out hacking he is a hoof perfect behind another horse, in front he is on alert and can have the odd spook, but always willing to go forward. We are surrounded by heavy traffic and he’s used to arctic lorries and double decker buses. My daughter hacks him no problem.

His perfect home would be a confident teen or small adult who enjoys doing a variety of different activities, competing in dressage or eventing, clinics and arena hires, fun rides and generally enjoy him.

Home is very important to us, we want to make sure the next person is the right match.
