Cornelius is a lovely pony with a huge personality. He is great fun, always happy to be out on an adventure and absolutely loves jumping, beach rides and rides through the woods. He is excellent out on the roads and is amazing to load and travel.

The reason for sale is that my daughter has sadly lost her confidence, she is only a novice and not especially brave, and as Corn needs a confident rider, we are finding it difficult to make the partnership work. He would suit a confident teenager or small adult who can provide clear, consistent riding and help him reach his full potential.

Corn can nap at times which is normally near our feed shed when he is in the school, he never does this out hacking either on his owner or in company but unfortunately my daughter isn’t brave enough to ride him through it.  If my instructor gets on he is foot perfect, works in an outline beautifully and doesn’t nap at all. He just knows how to press my daughter’s buttons. He has been known to buck if using a crop on his bum so we tend to use it on his shoulder/neck area which he was fine with.

Corn has a huge amount of character. He is more like a big dog than a pony and will happily follow you around the field — he is never difficult to catch! He is very intelligent and loves learning new things. We have even taught him to do a little “fist bump” for a treat!

Because he is so clever, we feel he would really benefit from someone who wants to do more with him — getting out to shows, more arenas hires, going on adventures and generally having lots of fun together.

Once you have established a good partnership and earned his respect, he is absolutely awesome. He will work beautifully for you and is fantastic when ridden by my daughter’s instructor.

Corn is a very special pony with lots to offer the right person. He is looking for a confident, capable rider who will enjoy his cheeky character and give him the variety and stimulation he thrives on.
