For Loan Wilbur
Wilbur is a 4yr cob gelding bought for my daughter to move on from ponies. My daughter is struggling with 4yr moments and has lost motivation to ride him. I am therefore seeking a long term loan home for him within 2hrs of his location in Lincoln.
Positives
Great to catch, waits at gate for you
Great with vet, farrier, back person
Lovely friendly boy who follows you everywhere
Great to hack alone or in company we have no off road hacking so has seen all types of traffic
Jumping not phased by show jumps x country fences
3 lovely paces
Easy to do, lives out, bare foot lives on fresh air but does love his food
Negatives
Can be stubborn in arena doesn’t like to be pushed to do more resulting in shaking his head, threatening to buck doesn’t quite manage it, has reared twice there not very high and doesn’t do this when in consistent work.
Stubborn to load in trailer food is the key.
Kindness and time work for Wilbur if you have the attitude of telling him off he is not the right horse for you, he becomes more stubborn and switches off.
He has been to local clinics and behaved well.
He is a project who would make some a fabulous horse. Will only go to best home with regular checks as he is a super special boy.
