Horse Details

Pepsi is a beautiful ex Bronze League, Hunting & all-round 17 year old mare. She is 3/4 selle Francais/warmblood with a 1/4 shire which we believe gives her her very gentle attitude to everything. She has been with my mid teenage daughter (14-16) for the last 2 years and was in a hunting home with teenage boy (BV) for the previous 5. She has lightly hunted with my daughter for the last 2 seasons. Pepsi is an exceptional hunter and a pleasure to take out. She is a big, strong, forward athletic mare and rides much more like a 9 year old than almost 17. She is always mannerly but forward and powerful.

My daughter has done everything with her through PC & NSEA dressage/sj/ae/eventing but we believe her heart really lies in hunting and not in the competition arena.

She is the most amazing horse to hack and completely unfazed by any traffic/machinery/spooky situations and hacks as happily alone as in company. I trust her implicitly at all times.

She is an absolute delight to handle at all times. Mannerly and polite through everything she does, she self loads and travels like a dream in box and trailer and stands beautifully for farrrier/dentist/physio/clipping.

She has a BS record of 120 and my daughter has schooled her over 110 & N BE courses but we do not believe this is where she is happy. Sadly her confidence does not match her natural ability and as such she will not be suitable for anyone with ambitions to compete her at these levels. She is an out and out schoolmaster at 80s but will not take a miss at anything bigger.

We believe the perfect home for her would be a varied RC/hacking/hunting home where she is cherished and is someone’s absolute pride and joy. She really is a beautiful moving mare who can produce some very lovely work. My daughter schools and hacks her in a snaffle but hunts in her Pelham.

She is sadly for sale ahead of my daughter getting ready to go to Uni next year even though she would love to keep her as her hunter. We would if it weren’t for double livery fees sadly! She has been cherished throughout her time with us and no expense spared re physio/teeth/chiro/Indiba to keep her in the very best shape.

She comes with her bridle/bits/saddle/equitex & rugs and anything else as necessary.

We would dearly love to see her with someone who recognises her absolute talents but enjoys a less competitive way of life and will enjoy the most lovely and straightforward best friend.
