SD Eric “Bandit” – TGCA Registered Traditional Cob

Beautiful 4-year-old traditional cob gelding, approx. 12hh, with outstanding breeding, masses of quality and a temperament to match.

Bandit is an extremely kind, forgiving and level-headed young pony who has all the makings of a fantastic family/show pony with continued education. He has a lovely nature and genuinely wants to please.

He is ridden in walk and trot and has been introduced to canter. He has hacked both alone and in company and has proven sensible and sane out hacking, he is not strong or silly in open spaces. He has seen poles and will happily go over them in ridden or lead rein. He is still young and green, so his education needs continuing rather than expecting a fully finished pony.

On the ground, Bandit responds extremely well to calm, consistent handling. With somebody he understands and trusts, he is good with his feet and is improving all the time. He can initially test a new handler’s boundaries and needs somebody patient and consistent who will give him confidence rather than rush him.

He is incredibly forgiving for a young pony and has a very sensible head on his shoulders. He’s been around children and, with the right continued education, I believe he has all the attributes to make a wonderful child’s/family pony. Equally, he would suit a small adult looking for a quality traditional to bring on.

TGCA registered and a really lovely example of his type. I think he could absolutely excel in the show ring with his traditional breeding, presence and quality.

Bandit is not being sold as a ready-made children’s pony — he is a quality four-year-old with a very good foundation who deserves a knowledgeable home that will continue his education correctly.
