For Sale £3,950 Casper
Casper is a 15.2hh TB-cross (can confirm the mother is a TB, but unsure what the other half is).
He’s got a sweet disposition and is super easy-going in and out of the stable.
An absolute gentleman to have around the yard. Unfazed by big machinery, loud noises, or the active construction site next door. Sweet-natured with people and very social in the field—currently living happily in a geldings’ herd and handles herd changes with ease.
He lives out approx. 6 months a year and is stabled at night over the winter months (+ a few more weather-dependent).
Currently in regular work 4-5 days a week. Mainly trained in flatwork and horsemanship, and has got the basics down in both, including lateral movements (shoulder-in/out, leg yield).
He has done free schooling and will pop a small fence, and though I fear this will never be his strong point, he’ll happily give it a try.
He’s more woah than go and while his temper definitely suits a beginner, I would suggest some support e.g. lessons if this is you, as he will do what you ask, but has a tendency to half-arse things if he can get away with it.
Up to date with everything: vaccinations, worming, teeth, physio, and shoeing (currently shod all round). Microchipped, holds a green passport, and has no known health issues.
Has not been actively hacked by current owner, though with his sensible brain he should adapt quickly with a confident, sympathetic rider to show him the ropes
He’s only up for sale as I’m moving abroad next year and unfortunately can’t bring him with.
This means that all tack, rugs and bits and bobs can be included for an additional £1,000.
This is including, but not limited to:
A 3 yo Fairfax GP saddle, professionally fitted to Casper (bought from new for £1,500).
5 x rugs (2 x 100g turnout weatherbeeta, 2 x 50g turnout weatherbeeta, 50-100g stable rug)
Bridle
Various saddle pads
If you, like me when I first bought Casper, is getting back into horses after years off, I’m happy to include things like brushes, wound treatment/mud shield etc, lunge rope, bareback pad and whatever else you would need.
The video is from mid-October (rider is 5’6″) and the pictures are from this summer/autumn.
