14.2hh registered SD Traditional Gypsy Cob mare, 5 years old. I bought Willow to train for the RDA and although she has the perfect temperament and would be a superstar RDA horse I feel she’ll enjoy a more varied life as she has so much potential and enjoys being out and about. She’s forward going but has good breaks in a snaffle, super supple and has nice paces. She’s ridden by a variety of riders here from 8 year old complete beginner, a nervous 70 year old and experienced adult riders and Willow adapts beautifully go her rider. She also is a great nanny for my young horse out hacking.

I bought her in September 2024 as recently backed 3 1/2 year old. I continued her education for a few months until it became apparent she was in foal. She had a big beautiful colt in May 2025 (he can be seen here) and is a great mother. After a year off she came back into work gradually in December 2025 and has been careful built up and is now in full work.

Willow hacks out alone and in company on lanes, woodland, big fields and on open hills. I prefer hacking in company so this is what she has mainly done with me. She walks out nicely and is always happy to trot and canter without getting silly and is unfazed by traffic. We have quiet lanes but has met tractors, trailers, quad bikes etc with no drama.
She is very willing in the arena but given her age and having a year off is still green in this area. She’s starting to drop into an outline and find her balance in canter. She’s got great potential in the white boards.
She has been out and about and is as easy going in new environments as she is at home.
She went to a big one day agricultural show in hand with her foal in September 25 and behaved beautifully.
She’s been to a RC dressage competition in July 26 where she won her first intro class with 65%.
She has done a fun ride (llangorse in July 26) where she behaved beautifully, jumped small logs and didn’t get hot or silly even when over taken. She’s also been to a show jumping clinic (July 26) where she jumped coloured fences and fillers and ended the session with a 60cm course on her first go at SJ. She clearly loved it and will easily progress.
I trailer her to friends yards for sical hacks in new places and shes always happy to go new places.
She loads and travels well and I happily take her places on my own.

She is kind, fun and willing. She will be someones horse of a lifetime and has so much to offer. She would also suit a family of mixed abilities but I would like her to go where there is an experienced person to continue her education. She’d be perfect for hacking, RC/PC, ODE, showing, dressage, horse agility, working equitation, she has potential many areas. I think she’d make a lovely ride and drive too but has never driven to my knowledge.
12 stone maximum rider weight.

She’s barefoot and good for the farrier. Good to catch, groom, tack up, bath, clip etc… up-to-date with vaccinations and worming. Currently living out 24/7 in a mixed herd. she was stabled at night on her own while we were on foal watch and was very settled.
This is a very sad sale and finding a kind loving home is very important. No dealers and she won’t be sold unseen. Open to multiple viewings and vetting. She passed 2 stage vetting when I bought her. I’d love to stay in touch.
