16.2hh (leggy and possibly slightly taller now) 11 year old ISH gelding.

A very special home sought for a much-loved gelding where happiness and long-term fit are far more important than price.

Elegant type rather than heavy boned, with a kind nature and huge personality. On the ground he is genuinely like a Labrador, affectionate, friendly and nosey, loves being part of things. He has excellent stable manners, is easy to catch, shoe and load, polite to lead, and good with dogs.

He would suit a varied home with plenty of hacking and turnout. He enjoys getting out more than endless arena work but does a lovely dressage test. He has happily done hacking, pole work and low level dressage in the last 3 years, but while he has jumped in the past, this hasn’t been part of his recent work due to owner preference.

Under saddle he is a fun, quality horse best suited to a confident rider. He can be sensitive and have the odd spook, so he appreciates a rider who will reassure him. He’s not visually spooky though — those pesky jumps in the corner, arena banners and the infamous moving mounting block don’t bother him.

Currently in work, although not as much as he would ideally like due to time constraints, change in life circumstances and time forces sale (owner is not getting another).

He has some medical history which will be discussed with serious enquiries, and home is far more important than price.

This is a very difficult decision, so please no dealers, riding schools or anyone wanting a quick flip or competition machine. He deserves a kind, knowledgeable person who will enjoy him and give him a happy life.
