Horse Details

Teak was born here 23/5/25. Handled from birth and is very friendly, independent and confident. He will make a beautiful 15.3-16hh chunky type that is very versatile. Full history known, only needed the vet for gelding in march 2026, vaccinations, passport and microchiping. Regularly wormed. No health issues or lumps, pumps or scars.

I bought his mother to produce as a riding for the disabled horse, she’s a 14.2hh a registered SD gypsy cob in September 24 not in foal! She has an amazing temperament as has proven to have great potential as a competition cob. I have no record of his father. He’ is currently standing at 14.1hh on his withers and 14.3 behind. I think he looks Clydesdale/shire cross?
He comes to you in the field and follows you everywhere. Always wants to come in and do something. Hes good to catch, tie up and loves being groomed and scratched and is happy with the hose. You can pick out his feet and has seen the farrier every 8 weeks from the start. Hes been playing with all sorts of things in the arena and practicing leading (work in progress as he likes to go see everything and can forget about a person’s bubble). He went to a big one day agriculture show at 5 months where he was amazing and behaved beautifully. He loaded and travelled unbelievably easily and relaxed. We did practice this before hand to make sure he was confident and not rushed and it paid off. He lives out in a mixed herd and is sociable and used to meeting new horses. He’s very respectful of electric fencing.
Due to his age and size he’ll only go the a kind experienced home for life that wants a forever horse to bring up. I was there for his birth and am very attached to him and would love to stay in touch. I’ve been in two minds about advertising him now or keeping him until he’s 4 and backed as I don’t want him being passed around. So if the perfect home doesn’t come along this summer I will wait. His mother is here and can be seen (although she is also looking for a home).
