Due to unfortunate circumstances putting the feelers out for my gelding

A lovely 16hh Knabstrupper x Appaloosa gelding with excellent breeding, sired by Tresaison Ricochet (“Rico”), a successful showjumping stallion who has competed at prestigious venues including Hickstead. Rico has proven the athleticism, scope and rideability to progress through the ranks, and Otto is already showing great potential in this sphere.

I have owned and produced Otto myself, giving him a slow, correct start with his full history known. He has been allowed to mature at his own pace while gaining plenty of life experience, resulting in a genuine, straightforward horse with an excellent attitude.

He has done a bit of everything, including:

• In-hand showing
• Ridden showing
• Hunting
• Fun rides
• Beach rides
• Regular hacking on open moorland
• Schooling and jumping

Otto hacks happily alone or in company and is very much a “get on and go” type, while equally enjoying a quiet, relaxing ride. Sensible and level-headed, he is non-spooky, good in traffic, and happily passes whatever he meets.

He has been ridden bareback and bitless and takes everything in his stride. He is barefoot, good to shoe, and good to box.

Currently schooling in all three paces. While still green due to his age, he is exceptionally willing, trainable, and eager to please. He pops a lovely jump both in the arena and out hacking and genuinely turns his hoof to anything asked of him. With his athleticism, willing nature, and proven performance breeding, he has all the ingredients to continue developing into a quality all-rounder or showjumping prospect with the right rider.

This is a horse with a fantastic attitude and endless versatility. He would make a superb happy hacker, riding club horse, mother/daughter share, or equally continue up the levels with someone wanting to produce a quality horse. Otto is a much-loved horse looking for a knowledgeable home where he can continue to thrive and fulfil his potential.
