Reluctant sale of our beautiful mare, Only available as a light hack / mother daughter share for not heavy work or a broodmare

Isla has a lovely temperament is great to handle in all ways, turn outs with other mares or geldings. She is incredibly safe and has been the most amazing confidence giver to my daughter who is now sadly giving her up as she has to go to university and is off traveling this summer.

She is a very safe hack, goes in front or behind, passes all traffic not phased by open spaces, can be ridden bareback in a head collar, nannies all other horses that need reassurance on hacks. Always sensible. More whoa than go. She’s a good doer, needs limited or poor grazing if possible as is very greedy.  Ideally riders to be 9stone or under and someone who can keep her forever and not grow out of her so petite adult would be ideal.

Very easy to have on the yard, will stand quietly for farrier, vet, dentist and happy to be groomed and fussed.

She has great breeding and conformation so would make a good broodmare,

Has been previously successful in the show ring and eventing was a great grassroots event pony.

Happy to discuss all medical history and long term plan. Happy to keep paying for insurance for next 9 months to get all the benefits of her current claim that offers physio / hydrotherapy etc. She has had her first lameness in February so selling her as if she’s retired from full work as want her to go to the right sort of home and limit expectations. She is currently sound and hacking happily.
