Magic Tree (Aka Flynn) 9 year old 15.1hh Irish Cob – hogged
I am Absolutely heartbroken to be selling Flynn. I thought we would grow old together but my circumstances have changed so here we are.
Flynn is 9 years young and an absolute gentleman. I backed him myself with the help of a friend and brought him on slowly, so he is low mileage. He has all the ground work under his belt and is ready to choose his career path. He would make an exceptional hunter, xc or show horse, he has that elusive 5th leg. He has showing potential and knows his job in the shown ring but will turn his hand to anything. He qualified and went to STARS on his first year out showing and handled it like a pro. Sadly, due to poor health I was not able to continue with showing him. He loves to jump and play in water and just wants to please.

· Hacks alone or in company
· Easy to lunge (has free lunged in the past not allowed at current yard)
· Easy to load, shoe, clip and catch. He comes to the gate
· Front feet shod only every 8ish weeks

Flynn is a kind-hearted Cob that does not have a bad bone in his body. He is snaffle mouthed and works very nicely on the flat. Well balanced, expressive paces, I think he will excel in a range of disciplines as stated above. This boy has presence and comes top 3 in-hand for cob and best condition classes every time.

He hacks out well around roads, on grass and in open spaces, alone or in company, happy in front or behind and is fantastic in traffic. If there ever was a bombproof horse it is him.  Flynn is great with young and old alike. The kids on the yard love to steal him (youngest is 11) and he has also been ridden by a 74 year old. He looks after his rider no matter the age.

Up to date with vacc’s and teeth. Will turn out with mares or geldings or happy to be alone as he is currently. He’s a big, well built boy with a leg in each corner and rides nicely forward off the leg. Works well to voice commands also.

He loves to work and is happiest in a regular routine. It really is hard to fault this sweet natured chap. It’s an incredibly tough decision to let him go so only the most suitable, kind and knowledgeable home is sought after.

He has an extensive wardrobe including a beautiful Fylde saddle, which is included in the price price. Open to any vetting.
What you need to know. Flynn needs to bond with his rider. He can take the mick, he is not naughty but does need a firm rider until be builds his trust. This means he appears lazy and will drop his head to get out of work. As long as you ride him forward and keep him occupied he will respond.

Currently has physio every 6 months with Holden Equine as maintenance.
He had a few sarcoids which were successfully treated and have not returned, this was when he was 5.
