We bought Arlo nearly 2 years ago for my daughter to produce as an all rounder.
She very quickly decided that cross-country wasn’t for her so they haven’t done much. He has been cross-country schooling a couple of times and hasn’t been very bold or brave but she isn’t as a rider. He has done lots of schooling and goes very nicely in the school, he has done a good amount of showjumping and has competed at BS club level scoring points.

Unfortunately Arlo struggles with a show environment. He is much better suited to a quieter life and so we have made the decision to find Arlo a home where he can be a happy hacker, riding club horse without the stress of the show environment he doesn’t mind small local shows but bigger venues causes him a lot of stress and we don’t think it’s fair to keep trying.

He is snaffle mouthed, he’s great hacking alone or in company. He’s great on a fun ride. He’s good at local clinics and he has done some dressage at Burrows Court also very well behaved.

He’s good to shoe, box, clip. He can pull faces when he’s waiting for his dinner and throw his legs about, he can be very sensitive to the grass in spring time so can sometimes get a sensitive tummy.

He’s a lovely horse very beautiful and needs a loving older rider to enjoy spending time with him and give him the attention that he deserves. Arlo can live out 24/7 and has done in the past but he doesn’t really like it, he loves his stable and would be better suited to a home with stables. Arlo has an old injury to his front left knee that we discovered after we bought him, we have injected this with arthramid and this will need topping up every couple of years, will be done just before he goes. The Vet says he will be good for another 10 years with the injections. He has had x-rays of joints done during the process of finding this and his joints are good. He has been treated for ulcers. His teeth have been done this week and jabs are all up together. Recent chiropractor appointment. Feet done every 5 to 6 weeks, Saddle fitter has been out every 12 weeks and will be done just before he is due to go on loan.

Ideally we would like Arlo to find a loaner that would be happy to purchase him once they have spent time together and definitely know they are the right fit. Price negotiable home more important! All of this can be discussed. Lots and lots of videos available
