Horse Details

Misty is seeking a new amazing loving home through no fault of her own.  Her owner’s arthritis is such that she can no longer ride. She has owned Misty for 3.5yrs and they have been all over Dartmoor hacking and hunting. Misty loves to hack but she’s not for the faint hearted as she likes to get on with it.. She’s not overly strong but would not appreciate someone hanging on to her mouth. She needs a confident rider with light hands and an independent seat, she takes confidence from her rider and will need reassurance and kindness in a new setting whilst she gets used to her new environment.  Would suit a home with someone who can give her lots of work.  She loves to jump so may also suit a capable, confident teenager who enjoys jumping and enjoys speed!   She is careful with her footwork and is a bold jumper. Could also suit an endurance home.  She hasn’t done a huge amount of schooling in her current home as the main focus has been hacking and hunting.  She is kept on her own with a bullock for company but has been kept on yards previously with other horses. Heart breaking sale as her owner, who’s ridden all her life, is having to face up to not being able to ride anymore.
