Horse Details

Beauty is a lovely, affectionate mare who absolutely thrives on attention. She enjoys being groomed, pampered and fussed over, and has a kind, loving nature (the majority of the time). She is a typical Welsh D and therefore, has a big personality, can be dramatic and highly strung!

She has been professionally schooled for the first few months we had her but has since been hacked out and plodded around the school. She is still green as she hadn’t done a lot before she came to us. She will benefit from continued education, but shows great potential to develop further in the right hands.

She hacks out alone with a confident rider, where she is forward-going and enjoyable, and is especially relaxed and happy when out with other horses. If she’s ridden by novices and there isn’t another pony with her, she will plant her feet and not move.

We originally bought Beauty for our SEN school, where she is a much loved member of our team/family. However, we feel she would be happiest in a more consistent, one-to-one home where she can build a strong partnership with her rider as this is where we she really comes into her own. She is bored with us and becomes very stubborn and reluctant to move.
She would suit a confident older teen or adult who appreciates a sensitive, intelligent mare and enjoys bringing on a horse.

Beauty is currently turned out with other mares and she is happy to be stabled – she comes in during the day and lives out at night.

She is good for the farrier (currently barefoot), up to date with vaccinations and dental care (sedation required for the dentist).

Beauty would not be suitable for showing as she has a scar on her right side which is superficial only, and she has a black mark on her face which may be a sarcoid – this has not grown or changed since being with us.
