Arab x bay mare would make ideal teen/small adult hacking pony. With work and fitness would be great for endurance. Has done some 10 mile pleasure rides with ease. Has started on some dressage work and low fences in the school but lack of time has meant I have not been able to keep up with these. An absolute pleasure to hack in company you can really relax and enjoy her. I have hacked her on her own but she needs to be given the confidence from her rider. Sensibly responsive to leg aids. Ok in normal traffic and tractors. Not phased at all by plastic bags, rubbish found on roads and has often had to take the lead when others have shied at things like these. I have had to put a red ribbon in her tail on pleasure rides as she doesn’t like unfamiliar horses thundering up behind her but even that I have managed to almost stop her being bothered by. Very easy to catch. Sweet temprament. My now 15 year old novice daughter has handled and ridden her with ease since we bought her. Does need a firm but sympathetic farrier then is as good as gold. Easy to clip. Not bothered by vet. For sale for personal reasons and lack of time to ride her to her full potential. Had a leg injury in January 2026 but has had X-rays etc by vet and is sound. I bought a new saddle and anatomical bridle which I had fitted for her which is available to buy. Can provide rugs.
