Horse Details

It is with a truly heavy heart that I am looking to sell my wonderful horse. Due to a recent spinal injury, I am unfortunately no longer able to look after him. Finding the right home is my absolute top priority.

• Breed: Welsh Cob with white passport
• Status: Unbroken project
• Training: Has successfully started clicker training/positive reinforcement

He is exceptionally smart and an incredibly quick learner. He thrives when his brain is engaged and has taken to clicker training brilliantly. True to his breed, he is a typical clever, strong-minded Welsh cob; he is powerful and sharp enough to figure out how to avoid a task if he isn’t motivated or if he doesn’t want to do it. He is not malicious, but he needs a handler who understands how to channel his intelligence constructively.

Because of his strength and clever nature, he is strictly not suitable for novices or nervous handlers. He will excel with someone who has extensive experience with Welsh cobs or similar sharp, native breeds and who enjoys using positive reinforcement or creative training methods to keep a smart horse on side.

He is currently very settled on a small friendly yard. For a local buyer, the option is available for him to stay on his current yard, where he feels completely at home. The yard facilities include free use of an outdoor arena, which is perfect for continuing his ground training and starting his ridden career.
