Ellie is a stunning 12-year-old, 14.1hh Welsh Part-Bred bay mare by Romulus, the renowned sire of sports pony Promethius.

One of Ellie’s greatest qualities is her kind, sensible nature. She is level-headed, honest and genuinely enjoys her work. She hacks confidently both alone and in company, has impeccable manners on the ground and has happily spent the last few years with a novice rider. She is the sort of pony who allows a confident and competent rider to enjoy themselves while still offering plenty of ability to progress.

She is excellent to shoe, clip and travel, making her an easy pony to own and enjoy. She has wonderful manners both at home and away and is a genuine pleasure to handle in every aspect of her day-to-day care.

Ellie would suit a confident and competent teenager or small adult looking for a kind, genuine pony to continue progressing with. She offers a wonderful combination of rideability, temperament and talent, making her a fantastic partner for someone wanting a safe and enjoyable pony, with the opportunity to compete if they choose.

For those wishing to compete, Ellie also has an excellent dressage record.

She has naturally expressive paces and a real flair for dressage, with all the quality to progress to FEI level. She is established at Elementary level and is comfortably working towards Medium, with all the quality to continue progressing.

Her achievements include:

* Winner of Best Pony at the 2017 British Breeders Network Show.
* Regularly competed at Elementary level, consistently scoring around 65%.
* Excellent paces with a natural ability for lateral work, including leg yield, shoulder-in and now beginning half pass.
* Beautiful, clean flying changes on both reins and is now starting tempi changes.

The only reason Ellie hasn’t competed recently is because she has been with a novice rider, allowing her to take on a quieter role while remaining well schooled and ready for her next partnership.

This is an incredibly sad sale, as Ellie is a much-loved member of the family. Sadly, her owner has now outgrown her, and with a heavy heart we are looking for the very best home where she can continue to flourish and be loved as much as she has been with us.
