For Sale £3,500 Morgan
With me he’s been primarily a hacking pony and would be ideal for a small adult to do TREC/endurance as he will go all day without tiring.
He loves going over the moors and is very relaxed on a hack – I usually ride him bitless and in a TCS but he’s happy in a bit as well. He’s barefoot and has great feet, he’s never needed the vet apart from routine vaccinations and one hoof abscess in the 4 yrs I’ve had him. He has regular physio and dental checks.
He’s great in traffic, not spooky and good at gate opening etc. Hacking is his favourite thing – we’ve done lots of TREC training and some Liberty work
He’s not as relaxed in the school but we have regular lessons and he’s a quick learner if he feels safe. He’s done loads of groundwork and horsemanship training. He doesn’t like coloured poles so he’s not a jumping pony, although he loves the cross country obstacles. He’s very well mannered on the ground. He will live in or out but I’d prefer him to go to a home where he can live out with other horses
He’s great fun to ride and has a typical Welsh pony cheekiness – he’s very forward and responsive so not really a child’s pony but would suit a confident teenager or small adult- a good home really is more important than price.
