The Information you provide in relation to your horse must be accurate and truthful.

All horses should be listed honestly and truthfully by their owners providing full detail about the suitability of the horse to undertake activities and to include any past or current health or behaviour issues which may influence the horse's ability to participate in certain activities.   It is important to upload suitable images of the horse to the advert.  If you are unable to upload your image you can send it to info@righthorserighthome.co.uk

By using the Right Horse Right Home Website interested parties are required to complete the online application form.  The Owner is advised to thoroughly read the content of the application before making any decision to invite the applicant to view the horse.  The application will provide the Owner with a broad, in depth account of the person's experience, what they wish to do with the horse, where they intend to keep it and the time and commitment they can give to the horse.

Right Horse Right Home will not knowingly introduce owners to unsuitable buyers or loanees. Right Horse Right Home cannot however be held responsible for any incompatibility between owner and buyer or loanee and will not be responsible for any costs incurred in rectifying any problems.

The data relating to horses listed with Right Horse Right Home may be used for research purposes in order that trends can be identified

The images submitted on your listing may be used for promotional purposes. These promotions may be to promote your specific horse or to promote Right Horse Right Home and the services we provide.

It is strongly recommended that the owner

  • Only invites those individuals to come and see their horse who have made an online application through this website
  • Invites applicants to visit and trial the horse on more than one occasion to assess suitability
  • Invites the applicant to have the horse vetted or liaise with the horse's vet to obtain a clinical history
  • Follows up professional references in respect of the potentially suitable applicant.
  • Visits prospective new homes to assess suitability or instructs Right Horse Right Home to facilitate this on the owner's behalf
  • Requests Right Horse Right Home to put together a tailormade Contract of Sale or Loan Agreement
  • Stays in regular contact with the new owner or loanee of the horse once a rehome decision has been made

No emotive language may be used in the advertisement for the horse and will be removed by Right Horse Right Home if deemed inappropriate.

The information you provide in relation to your application must be accurate and truthful.

For anyone wishing to apply for a horse it is important that you fully realise the cost, care and commitment required when caring for a horse. Please ensure that you read advice available on our website and other sites such as the British Horse Society located here: https://www.bhs.org.uk/

The owners who have listed their horses with Right Horse Right Home are interested in the best of homes for their horses hence they have chosen our website which insists on full and detailed applications being submitted before contact details are shared.  Due to this extensive sharing of honest and detailed information about the horse and the potential new owner or loanee the likelihood of finding the Right Horse and Right Home is vastly increased.

  • When viewing and trialling horses it is advisable to ensure you have adequate personal accident insurance
  • If you wish to proceed with the purchase or loan after visiting the horse you are advised to have the horse vetted
  • You are then advised to invite the Owner to visit your yard although not compulsory.
  • Bespoke Contracts of Sale and Loan Agreements are advisable and are available for purchase from the online shop.
  • If unsuccessful in your application, you can request feedback and apply for other horses through the website.
