Stunning Welsh Section D gelding with an exceptional temperament, both in and out of the stable. Duke has been carefully and patiently produced, having been allowed to mature fully before starting his ridden career. Owned since he was two years old.
Duke is proving to be bold, talented, and straightforward, taking everything in his stride. He has a wonderful attitude to work, is snaffle-mouthed, and is nicely responsive in all paces. Since being broken in, he has been given time and correct education with a well-rounded ridden future in mind.
He pops fences confidently and is bold and brave with steps, water, and fillers. Duke is sensible and reliable when hacking, unfazed by all types of traffic including farm machinery, and happily hacks alone around open fields.
He absolutely thrives on work and attention and, due to lack of time, I would love to see him have the opportunities he deserves. Duke has the quality, presence, and ability to make a top competition pony.
He is ready now for someone to finish producing and put their own stamp on him.
Suitable for a competent rider looking to produce a talented young pony — novices need not apply.
Good to shoe, clip, bath, and for vet and farrier.
