I’ve come to the very difficult decision to put my boy up for full loan due to changing personal circumstances.
Morris is a 16 year old, 15.1hh Piebald Cob Gelding in need of a loving new home within 2 hours of his current home in Derbyshire.

I’ve had Morris for many years and he’s one of my best friends, he is a very special boy and has taught me everything I know. I suspect that Morris had a difficult start in life which has resulted in a quirky personality but he responds well to calm and gentle handling with firm boundaries.

Morris is not a novice ride as he can be strong but will suit someone who enjoys a fun, intelligent, forward going horse.

Morris loves hacking both in company and alone. He has never bucked, reared or kicked and is safe in traffic, around farm animals, dogs and cyclists.
He is beautifully schooled on the flat winning both Intro and Prelim Dressage.

Due to a diagnosis of Arthritis in his Pastern joints I made the decision to put a stop to Morris’s competitive jumping. Morris has received treatment for his arthritis by way of injections and these may need to be done again in time but so far he has responded well.  He is also on a joint supplement.  Care must now also be taken when riding on hard ground.

Morris needs company when in the paddock or stable and is not used to being left alone. He loves to be out in the field but would like a stable at night in the winter.
He has been stabled during the day in the summer months to slightly restrict his grazing.

Morris is good to groom, load and for the farrier. He will allow a partial clip without sedation!!

Loan will include his full wardrobe and tack.

My greatest wish is for Morris to find somebody who will love and care for him the way he deserves for the rest of his days. Ideally someone with their own land whereby if in the future he became unrideable they would still keep him as a companion to other horses.
