Quality ISH for SJ or Teamchase looking for a new home.

Fabulous Finn (Finod Park) is a 14 year old 16hh Irish Sport Horse, unknown breeding but a blood type.

A very attractive horse with good movement and a scopey jump. Finn is a super jumper and a pleasure to ride on the flat. He has very low mileage and maintains his fitness easily.

I purchased Finn over 3 1/2 years ago to event. Since then he has achieved multiple placings at 90cm including a win in his last BE event before lockdown. Unfortunately due to no fault of his own he missed the end of last season and came back out this year not feeling the love for the XC phase (just going a little green and not ‘taking the rider’). For this reason we feel he would be best suited to someone looking to SJ or Teamchase as this seems to be what he enjoys. XC schooling he is amazing and pings around BE Novice fences with ease, he has a super gallop and is very happy following other horses over fences up the gallops! He recently completed his first Teamchase and absolutely flew round with his teenage rider (also a Teamchase first timer).

Finn also loves his showjumping and has been jumping consistent double clears around British Novice and Discovery on a ticket and schools around 1.20 courses at home with ease.

He also did pony club with previous owner, and would make a capable, gutsy young jockey very happy.

Finn really is a super horse and will give someone a lot of fun, however he would not be suitable for a novice home. He can be spooky, but does not have a nasty bone in his body. He just needs someone that isn’t going to be phased by the odd spook and is happy to ride him through it. He hacks alone and in company but again can throw in the occasional spook so needs a competent rider. He is good in traffic etc.

Finn is also much happier living out than in, he is currently out at night and in during the day which works well for him. On the ground he is a poppet to shoe, load, catch etc. He does require sedation to clip around the ears.

He is up to date with Dentist, physio, vaccinations etc. No vices, lumps or bumps and open to vetting.

This is an honest advert as home is by far the most important element here. I’m only selling him because I am north of 40 with limited eventing years – which is what I want to be doing.

Finn is being sold from Mountford Sports Horses near Thetford in East Anglia.
