Horse Details

14.1 registered Connemara gelding 13 years old. We have owned Toby for 19 months and in that time he has taken part in all disciplines, SJ, arena eventing, dressage, ODE. He has the ability to jump 100 SJ and XC easily with an experienced rider.

He can do a lovely dressage test and has qualified for the PC Champs in 2023 and 2024. He loves hunting and hunted frequently last Winter. Although not something we have done, I feel he would excel at WH / MM showing as he has very good conformation.

He hacks alone or in company, good with traffic, farrier, teeth and to load.

Capable pony but he will detect hesitation from an inexperienced rider particularly at XC and then will struggle with rider scarers such as ditches. With a confident and experienced rider he doesn’t show any hesitation, but unfortunately he is not going to take my daughter who is less experienced at XC around a course without a few stops.

He isn’t sharp or spooky and he will look after a less experienced rider when hacking. He works best with a light sensitive hand, balanced seat and guiding leg. He takes up the leg and rides more like a horse. He would be best suited to a confident teenager or small adult.

He is loving and kind and loves to be groomed. He likes to be around other horses and would not be suited to being on his own.

No health issues he is fit and ready to go.
