Horse Details

I have made the difficult decision to sell my beautiful barefoot purebred PRE Andalusian gelding.
He is a bay dun, Millpark bred. He has turned his hoof to absolutely everything.

GOOD AREAS
– very safe horse who I can trust to look after me on hacks, fun rides etc, not spooky, no silly behaviour, anyone’s ride really!
– he has done dressage and biomechanics lessons where he learnt up to basic lateral movements, has competed up to prelim unaffiliated. he has not been schooled much since i moved to my current yard without a school so this is an area he may need some work on
– unaff showjumping competitions up to 90cm, schooling up to 1m15 over single fences at home and 1m courses with scope to improve. very honest: he has never ever refused a fence.
– hunted in the 2022 season, 3 times.
– cross country and fun rides, his favourite!
-never naughty in open spaces.
– great to travel, lorry and trailer, inc rear facing
– will stood to be bathed and groomed all day
– barefoot and stands to be trimmed (until he starts to nibble bums!)
– an angel to handle: he has had hours and hours of in hand sessions when i backed him
– very responsive ride, huge bold jump with potential to go big
– never strong. will not pull you, but he gets excited out cross country
– no rearing/broncing
-100% to clip, including face and legs.
-hacks alone or in company.
-vaccinations and worm counts up to date.
– he is trained on voice cues and can do some tricks 🙂

CONS:
– loads 99%, usually will walk straight on. Much prefers no partition and a full breast bar.
– Sensitive to the flies and wears a fly mask for most of the year
-not 100% to catch. Usually he canters to me, but if not then i take his field mate in, and he comes straight in so it’s not usually an issue.

He needs a rider who is going to ride him sympathetically. Will not tolerate harsh hands.
I have put hours of time into this horse and i know all of his quirks. He has an adorable personality and i am in no rush to sell him.

He has rock crunching feet and has hunted barefoot. Ideally to go to a home who will keep him barefoot as he has never been shod.
This is a very difficult sale of my heart horse so please no joyriders.
