For Sale £2,000 Charlie
Full up 14.2 rising 19 this year but still has lots of life in him and more than capable of competing up to 1m. This fabulous boy has taken both my daughters from 80cm to now 1.10 competing last year in all PC unaffiliated XC ODE’s at 100 where they qualified for PC Champs.
I am looking for a quieter life now for Charlie, an ideal home for him would be where he can go and do some hunter trails some SJ ODE’s and general hacking. He wouldn’t be suitable for someone wanting to take him to PC camp where it lasted all week or for someone wanting to do pure dressage. Dressage is not his favourite forte but he can produce a good test (he is also not a hunter).
Charlie is not suitable for a beginner or a novice he has been a competition pony and although he has an amazing temperament he loves his job and knows what he is doing and therefore needs someone who is established in their riding and is looking for something that with be safe especially XC and wants to get to 100 level and have lots of fun along the way.
He adores his XC and he flies around a 100cm course. He will jump off any stride and can jump big. Ideally suited to a home for a mother daughter share, he is safe to hack used to all type of traffic and can go out on his own and does not need to be ridden regularly to keep him sane.
Home is so important for this special boy and I’m looking for a home where it could be a forever home, he is kept at home and has been for the past 5 years and he has got used to this I don’t think he would settle on a yard, even if it’s a small one, he’s used to his routine and I want him to go somewhere where he can have as close to this as possible.
He does wear bar shoes on his front has done for the past 2 years and has his coffin joints injected once a year but this does not affect his ability and this is reflected heavily in his price. I have looked after him, we have only competed him on grass if the ground has been good and he is always schooled and he has been sound.
Last year my daughter took part in all PC 100 ODE’s and also qualified him for PC 100 Eventing Championships as well as general SJ competitions. Although I am wanting him to have a slightly lighter work load, not out every weekend, maybe once or twice a month max, I want to show that even though he wears the bar shoes and has his joints injected he can still be worked. I am being completely honest about him as his new home needs to be as special as he is.
References of him are available and would also be required of new home.
